Forschungszentrum Jülich, Germany

Semi-Plenary Speaker

Dr. Ying-Jiun Chen is a scientist at Forschungszentrum Jülich. She received her PhD in Physics from the Max Planck Institute of Microstructure Physics and Martin-Luther-Universität Halle-Wittenberg, where she worked in the group of Prof. Jürgen Kirschner. In 2017, she joined the group of Prof. Claus M. Schneider at University of Duisburg-Essen as a postdoctoral fellow. Since 2023, she has been a member of Dr. Christian Tusche’s group at the Peter Grünberg Institute, Forschungszentrum Jülich. Chen’s research focuses on the fundamental interplay between topology, magnetic order, and spin excitations in low-dimensional magnets. In 2026, she received the IUPAP Early Career Scientist Prize in the field of Magnetism.
