Travel Support Application Process

ICM 2027 will offer travel support to a limited number of qualified individuals who wish to attend the Conference. To promote broader participation, ICM 2027 will also offer a limited amount of travel support specifically to researchers at institutions in countries that are historically under-represented at the Conference, or to those whose attendance is challenged by global events or other limitations.

Eligibility

  • Support is for students and postdoctoral fellows as well as attendees from developing countries that are historically not well-represented at the Conference.

  • The applicant must be presenting an abstract at the Conference.

  • The applicant must submit a letter of recommendation or endorsement. For student or postdoctoral applicants this recommendation letter must be from their advisor.

  • The applicant must NOT have previously received MMM/Joint Conference or IEEE Magnetics Society travel support.

  • Only ONE application per research group will be accepted.

  • Preference will be given to students who are within their last year of their PhD graduate studies.

How to Apply

  1. Submit the online application form below.

  2. Submit an endorsement or recommendation letter. (The individual will receive a link to submit their endorsement upon submission of application.)

  3. Only complete applications will be considered.

  4. Applicants will be notified of the committee’s decision by February 5, 2027.

  5. The deadline for submitting applications and letters of endorsement is January 15, 2027.
